Welcome to Taste of Tahoe Tours ("TOTT," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking a tour, using our website, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them before booking.

Our Tours

TOTT offers chef-led food and culinary tours in South Lake Tahoe, including brunch, lunch, dinner, private, and progressive-dinner-format experiences, as well as private cooking classes. Tour stops, menus, timing, and offerings are subject to change based on restaurant availability, seasonality, and circumstances beyond our control.

Bookings & Payment

  • Bookings made directly through our website are processed via Stripe; bookings made through Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb Experiences, or similar platforms are subject to that platform's own booking terms in addition to these.

  • Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are listed per person (or per group, for private/buyout experiences) and are subject to change without notice for future bookings; your price is locked in once you book.

  • Group sizes, minimum ages, and dietary accommodations vary by tour — details are listed on each tour's page and confirmed at booking.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than [X] hours/days before your tour start time are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made after that window are non-refundable, as restaurant commitments and food purchases are made in advance on your behalf.

  • No-shows and late arrivals (more than [X] minutes past the tour start time) are treated as cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to weather, restaurant closures, insufficient group size, or other circumstances beyond our control. In that case, you'll be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

  • Refunds for OTA bookings (Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb) are handled according to that platform's cancellation policy.

Guest Conduct & Assumption of Risk

  • Our tours involve walking between venues, consuming food and (optionally) alcohol, and visiting third-party restaurants and businesses we don't own or operate.

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, other guests, and venue staff. We reserve the right to remove a guest from a tour without refund for disruptive, unsafe, or abusive behavior.

  • Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions must disclose them at booking; while we make reasonable efforts to accommodate them with our restaurant partners, we can't guarantee an allergen-free environment and are not liable for cross-contamination or reactions.

  • Participation in any tour is at your own risk. TOTT is not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your voluntary participation, except where caused by our own negligence.

Photos & Media

We may photograph or film during tours for use in our marketing (website, social media, promotional materials). If you'd prefer not to be included, let your guide know at the start of the tour.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, photos, logos, and tour descriptions — belongs to Taste of Tahoe Tours and may not be copied or used without our permission.

Third-Party Services & Links

Our website may link to or rely on third-party services (Acuity Scheduling, Stripe, Squarespace, OTA booking platforms, restaurant partner sites). We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TOTT's total liability for any claim related to a tour or booking is limited to the amount you paid for that tour. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our site or services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
