Taste of Tahoe Tours Last updated: August 24, 2026
Taste of Tahoe Tours ("TOTT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or book a tour, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
Name, email address, and phone number when you request info, book a tour, or contact us
Payment details when you book directly through our site (processed securely by Stripe — we don't store your card information)
Booking preferences, dietary restrictions/allergies, and group details you share with us
Messages you send through contact forms, email, or social media
Information collected automatically
Standard website analytics (pages visited, time on site, general location, device/browser type) via Squarespace's built-in analytics and/or Google Analytics
Cookies used to keep the site running smoothly and to understand how visitors use it
Information from third parties
If you book through Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb Experiences, or another booking platform, that platform collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy. We receive the booking details (name, party size, contact info) needed to run your tour.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Confirm and manage your tour booking
Communicate with you before, during, and after your tour (confirmations, reminders, logistics, follow-up)
Accommodate dietary needs and group preferences
Process payments for direct bookings
Improve our tours, website, and marketing
Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
Send occasional promotional emails, only if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
We do not sell your personal information.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run your tour and our business:
Restaurant and venue partners — first name and party size/dietary needs, so stops can prepare for your group
Service providers — Acuity Scheduling (booking system), Stripe (payment processing), Squarespace (website hosting), and similar tools that help us operate
Booking platforms — if you booked via an OTA, they already hold your info independently
Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of our guests and team
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to support basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as well.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including relying on secure, PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. No online system is 100% secure, but we don't store full payment card details on our own systems.
Your Choices
You can:
Ask what information we have about you
Ask us to correct or delete your information (subject to what we need to retain for bookings already completed, taxes, or legal reasons)
Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email, or by contacting us directly
California residents may have additional rights under state privacy law regarding access, deletion, and opt-out of sale (which does not apply here, as we don't sell personal information).
Children's Privacy
Our tours and site are intended for adults booking travel experiences. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
